Born in South Africa, I discovered very early in life my love for food and cooking. During the last two years of high school, I enrolled and completed a culinary course. After school, I went travelling and then returned home to start my studies at the City and Guilds International in Cape Town, a renowned training academy in the culinary arts.
During my culinary career thus far, I have travelled and worked in some of the most prestigious restaurants, hotels and Cruiseliners. This would include La Colombe in Cape Town, the 5-star hotel “The Grove” in London as well as The Queen Mary 2 Cruise Liner.
My interest in food has also taken me behind the food scene to have a better understanding between farmer and restaurant, working for one of the best and most respected food production and distribution companies in South Africa in a managerial position.
Being from South Africa, BBQ is a big part of my cooking. I just love doing feel-good-food all-round, while feeling at home in the kitchen, executing that finer dining that you and your guests may choose. I ensure that I stay on top of the food trend while incorporating a healthier approach for my clients. I left my last position as a Private Luxury Yacht Chef working for a very exclusive clientele which included Scooter Braun, Dan Bilzerian as well as the Zwarovski Family.
Recently married I moved to Long Island, NY with my wife Samantha.
